Psychotherapy – a path to a more balanced life
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological support designed to help you improve your quality of life. It’s an evidence-based approach that addresses emotional difficulties, mental health challenges, and unhelpful behavioral patterns.
Therapy can also help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, build more fulfilling relationships, and change patterns of thinking, feeling, and reacting that no longer serve you.
CBT is based on dialogue and collaboration between the therapist and the client.
It focuses on developing greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors – and understanding how they influence one another. The therapeutic process involves working on the main issue that brings you to therapy, learning new adaptive ways to manage emotions, and building resilience to discomfort and uncertainty.
Contemporary CBT approaches – such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) – build on and complement traditional CBT. They emphasize developing psychological flexibility and resilience, learning to cope with difficult emotions, and cultivating a kinder, more patient attitude toward yourself.

Online sessions
Online sessions make therapy more accessible – especially when in-person meetings aren’t possible. Clinical experience shows that CBT methods can be just as effective online, as long as sessions follow a clear structure and provide both sides with a sense of safety and confidentiality (like a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space). Just like face-to-face therapy, online sessions can foster an authentic, trusting, and collaborative relationship between client and therapist.
The first session
Your first session isn’t yet the start of the full therapy process. It’s a chance to meet, talk about what brings you to therapy, and explore what you’d like to work on. Together, we’ll outline an initial plan and you’ll decide whether you’d like to continue – beginning a journey toward a better understanding of yourself, your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
If you’re ready for meaningful, lasting change – get in touch.
